Check your catalog against recall notices
Who it is for
EU businesses that sell toys and baby or childcare goods. Also the services that handle many sellers’ catalogs: GPSR responsible-person services, 3PLs and compliance firms.
What we check
We take the rows of your catalog: GTIN, brand, model and product name. We compare each row with official recall notices from the EU Safety Gate, RappelConso, the UK FSA and DVSA, the US CPSC, FDA and NHTSA, and the Dutch RDW. The sources and their licences are listed on the About page.
Each result is labelled with how it matched.
- Exact
- The barcode (GTIN) on your product matches a barcode in a recall notice.
- Strong
- The brand and the model both match.
- Possible
- The brand matches and the product name is similar.
Every match links to the official notice from the agency that issued it. Confirm a match there before you act.
What “no match” means
“No match” only means nothing matched in those sources on the date of the check. It is not a safety guarantee. A product can be unsafe without being recalled, or recalled somewhere we do not cover.
How to get a check
Free one-off check. Send us a catalog export, as a CSV or a spreadsheet. We run every row and send back the matches, each with a link to the official notice.
Ongoing monitoring is being piloted. Tell us if you want to take part.
Do it yourself. For a short list, check up to 100 products on this site. Paste one product per line: a barcode, or brand, model and name. Nothing you paste is stored.
