What’s new
What we have added, newest first. For what we cover and how matching works, see About and data.
- A freshness line above every page: when the registers were last checked, and how many notices were published in the past week.
- “For sellers” now sits in the header on desktop.
- The recall data behind the product checker now refreshes from the registers every morning, without waiting for a site update.
- New French (RappelConso) and Dutch (RDW) notices are translated into English in the same daily run.
- A redesign of the whole site, with larger tap targets and better contrast in dark mode.
- Simpler navigation, so a recall is quicker to find.
- Every recall in a list shows its product photo, or a hazard symbol when the notice has no photo. On a recall page you can pick a small photo to enlarge it.
- Questions and answers on the baby product guides.
- Old links to renamed FDA recall pages now redirect to the right page.
- Nurseryfile is live at nurseryfile.com, focused on baby and kids products. Food and vehicle recalls moved to the footer.
- Product photos from official CPSC and EU Safety Gate notices, credited to the source. RappelConso notices link to the photos on the official page.
- Guides to car seat, cot and crib, stroller and formula recalls.
- Help finding the model number, batch code and barcode on recall and brand pages.
- A privacy notice for the sign-up forms.
- The first build: eight official registers (EU Safety Gate, RappelConso, CPSC, FDA, NHTSA, the UK Food Standards Agency, DVSA and RDW) in one place.
- Check a product by barcode, brand, model or name. Each result says how it matched: Exact, Strong or Possible.
- Filters by country, store and brand.
- English translations of French and Dutch notices.
