1. Under certain climatic conditions, a chemical change may occur over time in the propellant of the inflator of certain Takata airbags.In the event of an accident where the airbag is deployed, this change could cause the inflator to rupture due to increased internal pressure. In that case, the airbag would not provide protective function and occupants could sustain injuries due to parts of the inflator coming loose.NL · 12 Oct 2026
