HazardThe handheld hair dryers lack an immersion protection device, posing an electrocution or shock hazard to consumers, if the hair dryers fall into water when plugged in. The CPSC has determined that hair dryers not equipped with the integral immersion protection present a substantial product hazard.

How to find the model number, batch code and barcode
- Model number
- Usually on a label or sticker on the product itself (underside, back or frame), on the box, or in the manual. It may be called model, type, style or item number.
- Batch or lot code
- Printed or stamped on the packaging or product, often next to a date. On formula and baby food it is usually on the base or side of the tin or pack, near the best-before date.
- Barcode
- The 8 to 14 digits printed under the bars on the packaging. Type them into the check box on this page to compare them with the notices.
