AliExpress Recalls LED Strip Lights Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Ingestion Hazard; Violations of Reese's Law Federal Safety Regulations for Consumer Products with Coin Batteries; Sold on AliExpress.com

Recalled

HazardThe recalled lights violate the mandatory federal regulations for consumer products designed to use button cell or coin batteries because the strip lights allow easy access by children to the lithium coin batteries, posing an ingestion hazard. In addition, the recalled products do not have the required warnings. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.

How to find the model number, batch code and barcode

Model number
Usually on a label or sticker on the product itself (underside, back or frame), on the box, or in the manual. It may be called model, type, style or item number.
Batch or lot code
Printed or stamped on the packaging or product, often next to a date. On formula and baby food it is usually on the base or side of the tin or pack, near the best-before date.
Barcode
The 8 to 14 digits printed under the bars on the packaging. Type them into the check box on this page to compare them with the notices.

A notice names the product by some or all of these. If your brand matches but you cannot find the model, batch or barcode, treat it as a possible match and read the official notice or contact the maker.
