Bij de gasgenerator van de bestuurdersairbag kunnen er storingen ontstaan als deze door de jaren werd blootgesteld aan hoge absolute luchtvochtigheid en hoge temperatuurschommelingen
HazardAls de bestuurdersairbag normaal wordt geactiveerd, kan de binnendruk in de gasgenerator te hoog worden. In het meest ongunstige geval kan de gasgenerator ontploffen en kunnen de metalen delen onder omstandigheden letsel veroorzaken.
