HazardBij een botsing waarbij de airbag wordt geactiveerd, kan de slang van de gasgenerator echter scheuren. Deze breuk kan leiden tot metaalsplinters, schade aan het kussen van de airbag, volledig verlies van de werking van de airbag en een verhoogd risico op al dan niet dodelijke verwondingen.
