De regelunit van het klimaatsysteem (HVAC) kan door verkeerde software onder bepaalde omstandigheden overschakelen naar een noodmodus waarbij de verwarming wordt uitgeschakeld.
HazardHierdoor kan bij koud weer rijp, ijs of condens op de voorruit blijven zitten. De bestuurder heeft dan minder zicht, wat het risico op een ongeval vergroot.
