Car seat recalls

Recalls of infant carriers, child car seats, booster seats and their bases. A recall can cover only the seat, only the base, or only some production dates.

How to check your car seat

  1. Find the label on the seat shell: usually on the side, back or underneath. It gives the brand, model name or number and the date of manufacture.
  2. If your seat has a separate base, check the label on the base too. Bases and seats are sometimes recalled separately.
  3. Compare the model and the date of manufacture with the notice. Many car seat recalls cover only a range of dates.
  4. Follow the official notice. Some car seat recalls are fixed with a free part or repair kit; others mean stop using the seat.
  5. If the maker offers product registration, register your seat so they can contact you about future recalls.

No match does not mean a product is safe. We only list notices from the official sources on our About page. Always confirm a match on the official notice.
